Putting My Lifetime Travel Wish List Down On Paper

The more I travel, the more I want to travel – it’s an addiction of sorts, but a good one, I think. Over the past few years I’ve been able to “check off” a whole bunch of destinations that I was determined to see before I died, but there are still so many places I want to go. I decided that I needed to make a travel wish list of the places I’d been and the places I still want to visit (newly updated as of July 2014):

GROAN! I’m exhausted just reading the list. I don’t think I have enough years left to see all these places, but I’m gonna’ give it my best effort. What about you? What destinations are on your life list? Do you see a place I’ve left off that you think I’d love to visit? If so, leave me a comment and maybe I’ll add it to my list; heck, what’s a couple more countries!

  3. Happy travels! I did a wonderfuL 3-week trip to the 4-corners area. Enjoyed especially Utah with its many National parks. (Loved Zion – overnighted inside the park. Wow, the amount of wildlife of wildlife and the closeness of the red rocks). Planning a trip to Bali in January… Any tips?

  4. Well, I’m jealous of your “done” list!

I notice you have left off all the Nordic countries apart from a mention for Aurora Borealis. I would go for Iceland perhaps as a stopover to UK or another European country on your list so you can try and see Aurora Borealis and a whole lot more.

  5. What an excellent list and surely a lifetime of effort. I am sure you’ll manage to mark off quite a few on this list and have some wonderful experiences. I hope that you get to see the aurora – I saw a weak version in Churchill, but I believe at the right time of year, it has wonderful sightings. Very accessible via plane or train from Winnipeg.

  11. Belize, go to Belize. Especially Ambergris Caye Belize, since you are such a beach connoisseur you will love it. You also need to add Angel Falls to your list. The world’s highest waterfall is located in the Canaima National Park, Bolivar, Venezuela. While you are in Venezuela try see Margarita Island and Puerto La Cruz, It was my favorite beach for a while.
    Happy trails.

You may know about it. It is not only about places but also about worthwhile events in these places. I like to check things off in it!
