I’m glad I found your blog before we travel to Nepal next month. Here in Japan, where I currently live, people genuinely just want to practice their English so I surely would have fallen for this scam had I not read this! Thank you for sharing your experiences with the world.
Hi BleuDress: So glad to have you as a follower. I will be writing much more
about Nepal over the nex two month, as I like it so much that I have
extended my stay. It is worth spending two or three days in Kathmandu, just
to see it, but then go other places. Pokhara is my special favorite, a
stunning lakeside city framed by the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. If
you need a place to stay in Pokhara, I highly recommend the Hotel Mandala ( http://www.hotelmandala.com.np/), which is only $10 per night USD with nice
rooms and a private bathroom. Best of all, it is owned and operated by some
of the nicest people I have ever met.
