Hi Rhonda: Even my Bulgarian friends were surprised to see the lake because the very dry summer had shrunk it to a fraction of its normal size. Normally they don’t have the algae boom, but the small amount of water and high temps were the perfect conditions to create it.
Beautiful photo. Rainbow is such a nice name for an algae, almost makes it seem less invasive to the lake.
