Barbara, as I am from Cluj, I just wanted to let you know that the local from the picture above it’s not the Ursus brewery. That’s actually Jazz Cafe with Ursus umbrellas, just for publicity… The real Ursus brewery is on the Motilor street, just across the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. Next time you’ll be in town ask Raluca to show it to you. By the way, if you’ll get there I suggest you to order “ciolan cu varza” (something like pork bone with cabbage), you won’t regret it, I assure you!
Otherwise, I’m happy that you show so much love to our city! I love it too, and I share your opinion that’s the best city in Romania!!!
Hi Olivia: I absolutely loved Cluj! You’re actually the second person who has written me about that. After the first comment, I went back to my photos to double check because I recalled taking a photo of the menu. Indeed, I had, and the photo confirmed that the restaurant was named the Ursus, and even included a story about the brewery and how the restaurant had evolved. So now I’m totally confused. Can you shed additional light on this?
