Field has been my coffee and dinner stop on the drive through between Calgary and Vancouver on numerous occasions the past few years. I think it’s such a pretty town. Field is the starting point for the Burgess Shale hike. It’s a UNESCO designated spot and a guide is required. Supposed to be a lovely all day affair with great fossils to see.
You can tell the small town has a wonderful feel from your fine photo.

Wow Leigh! Thanks for sharing that. I’ve been a rockhound all my life, so next time I’m headed that way I’ll definitely have to look into that hike.
What a charming town!
Nice photo! It makes me want to visit the town of Field.
Barbara, your pictures are so clear and brilliant. What camera do you use?
Hi Libbie: I use a Canon T3i but it’s not so much the camera as the lenses. My walk around is an EFS 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5. Glad you like my photos 🙂
