  2. Field has been my coffee and dinner stop on the drive through between Calgary and Vancouver on numerous occasions the past few years. I think it’s such a pretty town. Field is the starting point for the Burgess Shale hike. It’s a UNESCO designated spot and a guide is required.  Supposed to be a lovely all day affair with great fossils to see.

    • Wow Leigh! Thanks for sharing that. I’ve been a rockhound all my life, so next time I’m headed that way I’ll definitely have to look into that hike.

  4. Barbara, your pictures are so clear and brilliant.  What camera do you use?

    • Hi Libbie: I use a Canon T3i but it’s not so much the camera as the lenses. My walk around is an EFS 10-22 mm f/3.5-4.5. Glad you like my photos 🙂
