Historic St. Johann Church anchors one end of Marktplatz in the medieval Old Town of Feldkirch, Austria. The devil is said to have dragged Faust through the skylight and down to hell from this church. A fresh market sprouts up on Marketplatz every Tuesday and Saturday morning. Additionally, the street hosts a wine festival during the second week of July each year. I arrived on a market day and, while interesting, I much preferred the street later in the afternoon, when the booths had been cleared away and tables and chairs for the sidewalk cafes had once again been set out.
I can only imagine that this day was a glorious one … wonderful photo!
It was a terrific day, Aaron, made better by being in that lovely little town of Feldkirch.
