  1. They must be a slightly different bird species as Australia has loads of white pelicans…And they are so elegant and fun to watch.

    • Pelicans are my favorite birds, Mark. There’s just something about the way they are so cumbersome on land but so graceful in flight, soaring over the water just inches from the surface, and the fact that these were pure white and rare – well, that made them extra special to me.
