Strange thing is, Paul, I never saw any toilet facilities inside the snow hotel. I have no idea what the guests do when they have to “go” during the middle of the night.
That’s… I have to ask this because the ice beds are for sleeping on… but I assume from the background that’s not a functioning ice toilet and there aren’t any elsewhere?
Hi Bronwyn: I had the same question; unfortunately I didn’t think about it until after leaving so I have no answer as to what they do if they have to use a bathroom in the middle of the night and there are definitely no functioning toilets inside the snow hotel, because it’s built every year from noting but compacted snow.
Ha! Great shot — I never thought of what they did for bathrooms in the ice hotel. Maybe they have fur toilet seats …
