The Hungarian Parliament Building in Budapest, Hungary, is built in a Gothic and Renaissance Revival Style. Though beautiful any time of the day, it is drop-dead gorgeous at night, when the illuminated building reflects a mirror image onto the surface of the Danube River.
I think the Hungarian Parliament building is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen and in that setting along the Danube, it’s spectacular. Great shot, Barbara!
Thanks Cathy, I agree – it was like a giant wedding cake!
Beautiful shot. Love the symmetry!
Thanks Corinne. It wasn’t easy, taking it from a moving boat.
Wow! Fantastic shot. I pinned this. I am really enjoying Budapest through your eyes.
Thanks Rhonda; glad you enjoyed it. And thanks so much for pinning it.
Wow it looks a very impressive building, would not expect gothic designs in Budapest but it looks great a night! Nice shot!
Seems like I see examples of Gothic architecture wherever I go in Europe, Alex. I agree that this one was particularly impressive.

Gorgeous photo!
Thanks Ali. I could hardly believe I captured it myself, since it was taken from a moving boat.
Stunning shot! It does look like it’s floating!
Hi Kerri: I think the “floating” element is what I like best about the shot.
