One of the towers of Regensburg Germany, built by merchants in medieval times to showcase their wealth

The old town of Regensburg Germany, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is peppered with tall towers built by merchants in medieval times to showcase their wealth. One of the many magnificent sites seen during my Grand European Tour with Viking River Cruises.

  1. What a coincidence! We just posted a story about Regensburg today. Great minds think alike, eh? 😉

I noticed that you went on the Grand European Tour with Viking Cruise Lines. Wasn’t that a great trip? They certainly knew how to create an interesting itinerary! Did you have a favorite stop? For me it would be hard to choose.

    • Hi Linda. Must be great minds, as you say. I think Regensburg has to rank pretty highly, but Budapest is the crowning jewel, in my opinion.
