Hi northierthanthou: I visited on a tour, arranged by Viking River Cruises, and the visit included a Hermitage guide, so we knew exactly what we were looking at. It was amazing. The more than one-third of the Hermitage collection not on display is stored here and it was a real privilege to see it.
