Town Hall in Sorrento, Italy (the Municipio) anchors one end of pretty little St. Antonino Square. In the center of the gardens is a statue of Saint Antonino, the patron saint of Sorrento, who is credited with saving the city from invasion, Bubonic plague, and demonic possession, among other miracles. Visitors come here from all over the world to be married.
We visited the Italian west coast via cruise ship and one of my regrets, was not getting to Sorrento.
Hi Rhonda – ugh! Tough that you didn’t make it to Sorrento. I never made it to Ravello, Praiano, or Salerno. Just must go back 🙂
