The name of the temple is known as ‘Guan Ti Temple’, and the deity is Guan Yu, & also respectfully refers to as ‘Guan Gong’, a famous general during the time of the Three Kingdoms in China…. This temple was built and managed by the Kong Siew Association(the Cantoese clan association) way back the time when Kuala Lumpur was just established by the China Kapitan Yap Ah Loy. BTW, Kapitan’s Yap did built a temple located about 200 metres away, in honor of his Masters of Strategy, the Sin See Yah, whom he consulted during the trials & tribulations of establishing Kuala Lumpur.

Correction : the word ‘deith’ should be ‘deity’…@ the 1st. line.
