This is a fantastic catch, Barbara! When we were there, I caught a red-shirted boy playing the flute sitting on one of the rocks. One of my all-time favorite photos. I like yours also because the boys face echoes the shape of those giant statues (even though they don’t show up in the picture–I remember them).
I never really thought about that Vera, but you’re right. The genes of the ancient Khmer mus have been strong to have passed down through this many generations!
