This is beautiful! I’m considering moving to Trujillo. I’m delighted to have stumbled on your pictures and stories while checking out the city from afar. I’d love to get an expert traveler’s opinion of it, if you’d like to write a blog post or just fire off a stream-of-consciousness email.
Thanks for all the great info I’ve already gotten from your site!
Hi Jason: I was warned to be careful in Trujillo, but I wandered around at night all alone and never felt the least bit threatened. Of course, I stayed in the city center, and I was only there a few days, so I’m really not qualified to offer an opinion on it as an expat destination. But I can say that I really liked the city and its residents.
