What an enchanting hill town. I wonder what makes it such a significant Islamic pilgrimmage site? You must have quite a collection of major religious site visits….
LOL Mark – yes, I seem to collect them. I suppose it has to do with my fascination with culture, since religion is such an integral part of culture in many countries.
Hi Barbara! I have been following your journey and I must agree with Irene…I would love to do what you are doing but I as well have a too comfy comfort zone. Your stories and your photography are remarkable and I do wish you well. Enjoy and keep your focus on your creativity as well as your safety. Blessings.
Hi John: I realize that everyone has a different comfort level as it relates to travel, so I never make judgments. I applaud people for any kind of travel (well, OK, maybe not all-inclusive resorts where they never set foot outside of the resort), as long as they are traveling, because I think it is one activity that has the potential to make for a better world.
What a fine photo, Barbara! I love the colourful laundry hanging out on the line, the red flowers adding colour to the left, and then the arc made by the houses left to right across the top.
Even more enjoyable is the thought of your travelling and spending time in such an exotic (for me!) place. You inspire me to travel beyond my current comfort level, which includes having some sort of communication of language to use.
Hi Irene: I’m constantly amazed by how widely English is spoken around the world. I have rarely found it to be a problem that I don;t speak the local language, with the possible exception of China.
