Leonardo da Vinci is buried in the castle and lived his life nearby at Clos Luce. Did you visit there?
Hi Mark. I did see Da Vinci’s grave at Amboise Chateau, though there seems to be controversy over whether or not he is really buried there. Apparently he was shipped back to Italy for burial, but then exhumed and (some of) his bones brought back to France. I did also go to Clos Luce, where he spent the last three years of his life. Lovely mansion, very peaceful grounds.
