Hi Corinne: Yes, I really struggled with whether I would have preferred the castle to have been kept the old brown stone rather than being rendered with white plaster. But I have to admit that it looks fantastic.
It is very imposing, Mark, and I’m not sure I agree with the decision to restore it in that blindingly white color. Prior to restoration is was a tan color and from the photos I’ve seen, it was much softer looking.
Love this shot Barbara! I waffle about visiting all the reconstructed buildings, but I guess if we don’t we won’t see anything…
