Marina Piccola and the cliffs in the lower level of Sorrento, Italy

Marina Piccola and the cliffs in the lower level of Sorrento, Italy offer pretty views of the Bay of Naples. The town is built on two levels, with marinas, fishing fleets, and beaches on the lower level, and most residences and businesses on the cliffs above.

  1. The town of sorento is really beautiful. My family and I stayed at the hotel you can see in the upper right picture.
What a view of capri can be seen from the cliffs. The food is wonderful and the fresh fish is to die for. The locals are super nice, our guide (gueseppi) took us all around capri on his boat. Our sons were abel to swim into the blue grotto. I would recomend everyone to stop and stay here who are on there way to the amalfi coast.

    • Hi Barry – I’d go one step further. I visited both Amalfi and Positano and liked Sorrento so much better than either of the others. Rather than stop in Sorrento for a brief visit, I’d base in Sorrento and take day trips down the Amalfi coast.
