This style of drink appears to exist in many countries. I’ve tried a few and they seem to vary from reasonably tasty to rocket fuel. I love the home-made nature to them, often served in containers that look as old as the families producing the stuff…

I think they call it Moonshine here in Australia but I’m not sure whether it’s a similar recipe or not.
