I love your photos. My passion is to photograph people and their lives as they happen. My question is – what is the most respectful way to do this. If you ask permission beforehand you lose that true sense of “live in action”. I would love to hear your thoughts. Michele
Ah Michele: That is the $24,000 question.I try to be respectful and ask, and it’s almost imperative when you’re shooting someone close up, however when you do people inevitably “pose” for the camera. I much prefer candid shots, so sometimes I use a telephoto lens.
