I have been to Punta Gorda and had the chance to tour the murals with the amazing President of the mural society, Bob Armstrong. If you have a chance, try to visit this charming town to see them for yourself…and maybe get involved with a donation toward making even more!

The motto for Jamaica, “Once you go, you will know!” aptly applies to Punta Gorda too. We discovered this “happening city on the Charlotte Harbor” four years ago and bought a house the next month. It is full of interesting energetic excited people who played a large part in it’s “re-creation.” The murals are only one of the reasons it is such a welcoming community. Y’all come!

You will adore this town. A cue main street, lots of great restaurants and cafes, friendly people, plenty to do in addition to seeing the murals, and gateway to some of the most stunning of Florida’s beaches.
