Well that is what is so unique of this mountain city called Gatlinburg. 1 minute you can be mixing it up with the tourist in a carnival like atmosphere and in 5 minutes you can be down the Historic Nature Motor Trail and be hiking in peace towards a secluded waterfall.

I used to go there as a young girl…it was honky tonk then (1960s) so I can just imagine it now! Of course, back then I loved all the hoop-la. And yes, the surrounding area is beautiful!
