Well, you just made my day. Love to hear that I rank highly in search engines. I do all the normal things: follow other travel blogs that I like and comment, have webmaster accounts with Google & Bing & submitted sitemap.xml files to both, submitted to Yahoo, submitted to every blog directory known to man, track on Google Analytics, Tweet, participate in Stumble Upon, have my own YouTube channel, and am actively involved in all other social media (Facebook, Digg, Mixx, Reddit, Deicious, etc). But, having said all that, the most beneficial thing is to concentrate on content. I write, write, write and pay attention to grammar and punctuation. Content is king; don’t let anyone tell you anything else. There are thousands (maybe millions) of travel blogs out there and the only thing I can really do to differentiate myself is to make sure I am offering my readers stories that will interest, entertain, and inspire them in such a way that they keep coming back. That eventually translates to exposure and good ranking.
