I’ve arrived in Tanzania after 17 hours of travel and I head out into the bush early tomorrow morning for a nine day safari, followed by a four day stay with a Masai family in a tribal village, so I won’t be blogging for at least a week.
However, I did just post about the day safari I took in Botswana and there are some amazing animal photos on this post that I hope you’ll read during my absence. Also, I’ve uploaded all the photos for Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, and South Africa to the photo library pages. After years of working 70 hours a week at jobs I detested, I felt like the proverbial "hole in the donut" - solid on the outside, but empty on the inside. Searching for meaning in my life, I abandoned my successful but unsatisfying career and set out on a six-month solo backpacking trip around the world to pursue my true passions of travel, writing, and photography.
